Guess who has just discovered the 'Sun' object in Cinema 4D? :-)

It changes the colour of sunlight depending on the time of day and year - thus this is early morning in December in our northern latitudes.

It is a very simple model really - version 3 of proposals for a new porch to a cottage.

and some larger versions of these renders where you can see that here I have made some more textures of local stonework better suited to this particular building than the ones used originally.

The stones still do not have enough 'relief' on them but for such a small job there is a limit to the amount of time that can be spent.

Below - the same model but with the bitmap images copied into the 'bump' channel of the texture - a simple way to add some relief to the stones. This works particularly well with the 'limewash' coating on the stones beside the door and the stone paving to the yard.
Note there are still problems making the stones wrap around corners - to fine tune this you need to split the original wall into polygons and tweak each face individually or group them together under one texture tag.
